The Wellington Childrens Foundation is a charitable organisation concerned with the interests and welfare of young children and their parents. Its objective is to offer limited grants for specific projects or items of equipment. These grants are made to organisations at the discretion of the Foundation.
The area covered by the Foundation extends to the Hutt Valley in the east and Kapiti in the north.
Criteria used in assessing applications include:
- there should be a genuine need,
- as many children and parents as possible should benefit,
- a wide spectrum of the population should be covered.
Donations will always be welcome, to grow the size of the Foundation and enable more grants to be made.
